Our New Energy is the leading independent PPA advisory company, with highly experienced team that is passionate about the energy market and its current transition towards a low carbon environment.

At Our New Energy (ONE) we assist in capturing first mover advantages in new markets as well as leveraging on our unparalleled transaction history in existing markets to ensure maximum value for our clients. Ensuring that our clients obtain the PPAs they need and that such transactions are as good as the market can offer at any given time. As numerous new actors are entering the long term PPA market with limited experience, and existing market participants need to understand and absorb new risks, we enable our clients to make the most of these new opportunities.
Our core service is PPA transaction advisory and origination. Consisting of three steps:
- Finding the optimal PPA structure for the client. Only through an understanding of the clients needs and capabilities and a thorough knowledge of the markets can we assist in finding the optimal PPA structure that suits the client and can be offered by the market. With a firm understanding of the PPA requirements the field of potential offtakers.
- Finding the right offtaker. The optimal PPA may only be offered by a select number of offtakers. Approaching only the right offtakers ensures a smooth and time effecient process whilst guaranteeing the highest probability of success.
- Finally, negotiating and closing the PPA. Most organizations can enter a PPA, but none have structured and executed +4.5 GW of market parity PPAs across Europe and have seen the variety of structures, off-takers, financing structures and geographies that we have. We ensure that the options are quantified and risks are efficiently allocated.

How we operate
ONE has a solid back-ground within the energy market and has brought substantial innovation to PPAs. Combining the ability to quantify the choices between offtake structures, whilst knowing the major PPA trends and offtakers offerings and capabilities, ONE is capable of structuring the optimal PPA transaction suiting the risk appetite of the client.
Ahead of any transaction, ONE already have a good "feeling" how much certain PPA "features" are worth and traded for in the market, saving time and iterations when approaching off takers. In a buyers' market one has only a limited window in which to get a real quote from off takers.
When contracting on fund level, ONE is further capable of advising on PPA structures across markets, enabling an efficient cross-market PPA strategy, and not isolated on project level. Also, given our extensive transaction and relationship portfolio, it happens that off-takers contact us when they have products and/or volumes to acquire, since we represent a large portfolio and they acknowledge the filtering effect we represent. How is that? We only work with real projects and for proven counterparts, we avoid tendering or running RFQs and last but not least, we filter our requests during the structuring phase, in order not to waste anyone's time.
At Our New Energy we are keen to align our interests with those of the clients and therefore our remuneration is closely linked to the success of our clients. As we want our clients to receive a tangible product, e.g. a real PPA, and not just generic market information and consultancy services we favour a fee structure heavily weighted towards success in addition to a fixed monthly retainer. This model has allowed us to grow organically alongside our clients and close more than 4.5 GW of PPAs since our foundation.
Always striving for excellence
By excellence we mean having an efficient process where focus is on value creating elements in our negotiations, and contracts are drafted based on inputs from numerous past transactions (but also having the toolbox on how to bypass deadlocks, circumvent problems, anticipate issues etc). Most generators/investors are able to gather term sheets and negotiate a PPA, however, unable to know whether they are signed under market conform terms (or ideally even better). Often the off-taker also has limited experience in negotiating long term PPAs, why ONE is also able to identify win-win situation that even the off-take did not realize.
